Makes a case for not being an insider and letting the people decide. Brown: What was the moment that tested you the most in your life? Obama talks about the trajectory of his entire life. Gives his resume. Gets in the background as a community organizer, civil rights attorney, etc. That cumulative experience is the reason he can do all the things he's promising. Clinton: I think everybody here knows I've lived through some crisis and some challenges in my life. (What a strange applause point) People often ask me how I do it. With all the challenges I've had they are nothing compared to the challenges so many Americans face… Talks about injured war vets with great empathy. She went to a veterans hospital with John McCain.

Polaroid Says Goodbye to Instant Photo Technology
Polaroid, the company famous for their instant cameras and photos, has decided to shut down factories within the United States and abroad as they abandon the technology that made instant photos possible. Polaroid will cease all production of its film by next year. It seems that the instantly gratifying Polaroid images have finally been done in by digital cameras and the endless Flickr pages full of digital images. Polaroid's instant camera was first introduced in 1948. When it was first unveiled, it was large and bulky with a stainless steel body and black bellows, and the film came on a roll. The next incarnation of the Polaroid instant camera came in 1963, when they introduced cartridge film with their 100-series camera. It became an instant hit with pro photographers, who would use the Polaroid to take test photos, and instantly use it to check lighting and composition.
City’s water system must be a top priority
Gun tragedies an accepted part of living in America The tragic murders of five women in a Lane Bryant store in Tinley Park recently and two police officers and three others at a city council meeting in Kirkwood, Mo., Feb. 7 serve as a chilling reminder that any of us can be impacted by gun violence in this country, no matter where we are at any given moment. My prayers are with the families of all the victims. While there are certainly many factors involved in such heinous acts, the one fact that can’t be ignored is that guns are almost always used in these types of tragedies. Whether it’s a mall in Omaha, Neb., college campuses in Blacksburg, Va., or DeKalb, or a clothing store in Tinley Park, guns have been taking the lives of innocent victims at an alarming rate over the last year.

Black Francis Plays Impromptu Gig, Police Intervene
Police had to step in and escort Black Francis away from the scene of an impromptu street performance the former Pixies front man was putting on in Dublin, Ireland, NME reported Monday. Francis, alias Frank Black, had attracted the attention of about 1,000 Dubliners who amassed in a park Saturday, where he was performing solo material as well as the stray Pixies number. It seems rather than play encores at his normally scheduled shows, Black has taken to playing what he calls pre-cores in random locations, which he lets his fans choose this according to Indie Corner, which also hosts a digital camera video of Blacks police car trying to navigate through a swarm of Irish Pixies fans, who are slapping the car and hollering, rock and roll! Despite the appearance that Black was being arrested, NME reported that police were only moving him along in an attempt to disburse the crowd.
